How do I track a match?
Open the app and tap "New Match" on the home screen. Add the players, select the scoring format, and tap "Start Match". During the match, simply tap the team that won the point to update the score.
Can I use the app on my smartwatch?
Yes! Padel Companion has fully-featured smartwatch apps for both Apple Watch and Wear OS. You can start matches, track scores, and view statistics directly from your wrist. The watch syncs automatically with your phone.
Can I edit a match after it's finished?
Yes, you can edit the final score, date, and players of any completed match. Go to your "History" tab, select the match you want to modify, tap the "Edit" button in the top right corner, and make your changes.
Tournaments
How do I organize an Americano tournament?
Go to "Tournaments" and tap "New Tournament". Select "Americano" as the format, add your players, set the number of courts, and the app will automatically generate the schedule where everyone partners with everyone.
What is Mexicano format?
Mexicano is a dynamic tournament format where pairings change after each round based on the leaderboard. The top players are paired against each other, making for exciting and competitive matches throughout the tournament.
How are Americano points calculated?
In a standard Americano, every point you win in a match contributes directly to your individual score. For example, if a match ends 24-16, the winners get 24 points each, and the losers get 16 points each. The player with the most total points at the end of the tournament wins.
Can I handle uneven numbers of players?
Absolutely. The tournament engine automatically handles "bye" rounds if you have an uneven number of players (e.g., 5, 9, 13). Players will take turns sitting out one round, ensuring everyone plays an equal number of matches by the end.
Account & Privacy
Is my data synced across devices?
Yes! When you're signed in, your matches and statistics sync automatically across all your devices via iCloud (iOS) or Google Cloud (Android). This includes syncing between your iPhone and Apple Watch.
How do I export my match data?
You can export all your match history as a CSV file. Go to Settings > Data & Storage > Export Data. This file can be opened in Excel or Numbers for your own analysis.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your account and all associated data:
- Open the app and go to Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm your identity
- Confirm the deletion
This action is permanent and cannot be undone. All your matches, statistics, and personal data will be deleted.
